I would like to thank the RI Bass Federation members for
placing their trust in me with the job of mentoring this state's youth, our
future. I will work to further the well-established foundation that the youth
program has formed in the past 2 years. With the help of all our members, we
will be able to pass along the love of bass fishing, the spirit of competition,
and the value of our environment.
I plan to expand membership of the youth program as well as involve members
more in the capacity of running their own chapter. One new program I intend to
implement will be our own Jr. Bassmaster University. Just like the national program,
it will school our members on lures, technique and fundamentals. As an added plus,
I will procure manufacturers and pro anglers for products for the members to fish and keep.
As the RI Bass Federation’s Youth Director, I plan to do exactly that - direct youth.
As a father of two active members, I feel I’m well suited to relate to today’s youth and
be able to offer solutions to the clubs issues.
To the parents of all our members, your children and I need your support
at all the clubs' functions, fishing and fundraising! Weigh'ins and way’s
to the meetings. They are only young once and for a very short time. They
deserve our best and will get it in this club.
