December 15, 2004

President Roger Pray called the meeting to order at 7:18 PM.

Secretary’s Report: Accepted as read

Treasurers Report: Accepted as read

Youth Report: No youth report

Environmental Report: No environmental Report

State Team: Raffle tickets are available please see your friendly state team member for tickets. It’s a Foxwood Get-A-Way for three days.

Newsletter: It was suggested that we allow each chapter to produce the newsletter and the best produced newsletter receive an award.

Banquet Report: The Banquet will be held at Lancelota’s on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at the current ticket price is $20 a person. There were several suggestions about subsidizing the price. A suggestion was made to reduce the prices to $10.

SQT: Greater Hartford Convention Center Chamber of Commerce is going to make contribution the SQT. The Riverfront Recapture Committee will run the event at the ramp including weigh-in. The ramp fee has been waived for the week. We are looking into complimentary room for the SQT committee. Discount rates at various motels. Boats Works contributed to the orientation meal.

Old Business: We are currently attempting to change our tax status to determine our non profit status. It was motioned to transfer $600 to the Youth Fund and pay the two chapters for the youth activity they sponsored. Federation dues are due $25 a members per chapter and must be paid by July 17. National dues are now due please pay them directly. Pending Mike Clemente rejoining BASS it was motioned to request his assistance in running the “Make –A-Wish” tournament and to present to the “Board of Directors” with a plan on how the “Make-A-Wish” would be run so the Board can approve the plan.

New Business: Keep it in mind next month we will vote for “Sportsman of the Year” the Andrukevitz Award. It appears there will be a change in the make up of the Eastern Division from 14 states to 7. Also there will be a sixth place for federation at the Classic.

The Board of Directors and the Officers of the Rhode Island B.A.S.S. Federation would like wish each and every member and their family’s a MERRY CHIRSTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.
