President Roger Pray called meeting to order at 1:25PM.

Secretary’s Report: Accepted with corrections.

Treasurers Report: Accepted as read.

State Team: All thing are in place we have lodging is all set. Applications are in place for fish offs. SQT permits are in a list of lodgings will be published on the web site. There are a few raffle tickets left.  The state team open is for April 13; the only problem is we hope for early melt. The Steak Fry is set for July 12, and the Club Championship is for July 13. If you need applications for the State Trail please see Roy or Rob.

Environmental Report: There will be a US Fish and Wildlife planning meeting in Newport. There is an F&W survey on the web you are asked to fill out. Stafford Pond still has a clean water committee. There will be an education program for elementary school students. You are asked to keep an eye on things in other parts of the state.

Youth Report: There are nine members in the RI Junior Bassmasters. They are going to fish out of boats at their first tournament at Johnson Pond April 6.Volunteers are needed. They will be holding a can at the end of the month at the Grand Opening of Dicks Bait and Tackle.

On April 12, they will be holding a truck and boat wash at Russ Woods Boats from 10:00 am to 3:00PM. They will be splitting the30% of the profits with the fire victims and the state team. The JBM will keep the remaining. They are still looking equipment donations of rods reels boxes etc. If anyone has a youngster that would like to join please let Mike Clemente know.

Kasting Kids Finals: the 7-10year old finalist Sandra Gettings and the 11-14 year old finalist Shawn Davis. They are the RI State Champions they will be going to Tuscaloosa, AL, May 15,16,17

 Wish Come True Tournament will be held at Slatter’s Mill on June14th; there will be 45-boat limit. There are applications available.

Guest Speaker: John Stolgitis the Chief of Fisheries and Wildlife for the state gave a very interesting talk on how things are purchased and paid for with Federal and State funds.

Old Business: The remaining trophies from the awards banquet were picked up. The web site has been out for sometime and we are looking into another site to host the R.I Federation web site. The annual Newsletter was handed out to the members that attended the meeting.

New Business: The Bass Bums have submitted a request for the Federation to donate to their annual youth event from our youth fund. Triton boats are offering to Triton boat owners must be registered if you win a major tournament, our SQT, can win $1000. Applications are available.

Any person who finishes first in any trail event will receive $1000 if they own a Ranger Boat. Boat works will also give $250 to the winners.
