I would like to start off by congratulating Joe Croteau for winning the 2009 Thomas Aguiar memorial S.Q.T. with a 2-day total weight of 37.18 lbs. Joe did this from the back of the boat! That’s right, he was a non-boater and won the event by a commanding 5.94 lbs. I would also like to congratulate the entire 2010 state team.
Thank you to the entire field of competitors who made the trip up to Lake Cobbossee for 2009 Thomas Aguiar memorial S.Q.T. Cobbossee lived up to its reputation as a great fishery and we had some good weights despite the blue bird skies and hot temperatures.
Thank you to our host Sherry & Andy Wess from the Lakeside Motel & Marina. They both went above and beyond our expectations and there total effort and willingness to help everyone didn’t go unnoticed. Please, help support Andy next spring when he host the annual special Olympics open tourney on Lake Cobbossee.
Most importantly I need to acknowledge all the volunteers and my SQT committee for all your hard work! We could not do this event without you guys & gals. I can’t say enough about all your help and support to make this tournament run smoothly and efficiently.
