Lake Manchaug needs your help!

I am not sure if you are aware but Lake Manchaug in Sutton MA needs our help. The dam owner has put a project on the board to breach the dam. This would shrink the pond by about half its acerage and leave the boat ramp high and dry. This also has a much greater impact than just fisherman and our access.

I attended a meeting at the Sutton town hall on tuesday. Not much happened at the meeting. There were a lot of parties including 2 State Reps who spoke opposing the project.

Basically they are looking for statements from people or organizations opposing the project and why. What the breaching of the dam would impact and how it would hurt our organizations.

If you would be willing to send in a statement that would help us out greatly. Here is a link to the Manchaug Pond Association's website which has most of the information on the project.
Statements need to be sent in by the 14th of July to the following address.

Comments Should Reference EEA #14435 and be sent to:

Ian Bowles, Secretary
Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs
100 Cambridge St
Boston, MA 02114

Thanks
