FULTON COUNTY CHAMBER WELCOMES RHODE ISLAND B.A.S.S. FEDERATION NATION FISHING TOURNAMENT TO GREAT SACANDAGA LAKE
Gloversville, NY—The Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry will welcome almost 50 fishermen and their families from the Rhode Island B.A.S.S. Federation Nation to Fulton County’s Great Sacandaga Lake next week. The Rhode Island B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation is one of the 46 affiliated states belonging to the B.A.S.S. National Federation Program sponsored by B.A.S.S. (Bass Anglers Sportsman Society). The tournament will see these anglers competing for the top 12 spots to represent Rhode Island at the Eastern Divisional Tournament in September on Lake Champlain in Vermont. The tournament will take place on Thursday, August 12 and Friday, August 13. The county’s Tourism Department is a sponsor of the tournament.
The tournament agenda begins with a banquet at Sport Island Pub in Northampton on Wednesday, August 12 at 5:30 p.m. at which the anglers will be paired for fishing on both tournament days. Fishing will take place on Thursday, August 12 and Friday, August 13 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. from the Northampton State Campground boat launch area. Weigh-ins will be at the same location. Spectators are welcome to view the weigh-ins on both days; there is a day-use fee at Northampton State Campground of $8 per carload.
